The Materials Science and Engineering graduate program within Texas Materials Institute and The Cockrell School of Engineering was named No. 17 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2022 graduate engineering program rankings, released today. The Cockrell School is once again named one of the best engineering schools with all programs ranking in the top 20.
More than 80 students are enrolled in the our Materials Science and Engineering graduate program and they work alongside renowned engineering faculty to develop cutting-edge solutions across many research areas.
U.S. News & World Report’s annual engineering graduate program rankings are based on student acceptance rates, faculty/student ratios, research expenditures, reputation among engineers in industry and academia, the number of doctoral degrees produced, the percentage of faculty elected to the National Academy of Engineering and entrance exam scores.
