Xiao Cheng Zeng is the Chancellor′s University & Willa Cather Professor at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He received his B.S. in Physics from Peking University (1984) and Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from Ohio State University (1989). He completed two postdoctoral fellow positions: one in Physicl Chemistry from The University of Chicago (1989-1992) and the other also in Physical Chemistry from University of California at Los Angeles (1992-1993). He has three main areas of research which include, Surface/Interface Science (Air/Water Interfaces, Interfacial Water/Ice, Superhyodrophobic Surfaces), Energy Science (Inorganic Clusters and Heterogeneous Catalysis), and Materials/Nano Science (Computer-aided design of low-dimensional materials and materials for solar cells).
