Ph.D. Student Charles Amos Receives NASA Grant for Battery Research

Charles Amos, a Ph.D. student studying under the supervision of Professor John Goodenough, recently won a NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship (NSTRF) for his proposal entitled “Surface Passivation of Lithium-Ion Electrodes: A Path to High-Performance Energy Storage.

Mr. Amos will perform his research at UT Austin and will spend some time at a NASA Center and/or not-for-profit research and development laboratory.
