Materials Science and Engineering faculty, Filippo Mangolini, has been awarded the Cockrell School Dean's Award for Outstanding Engineering Teaching by an Assistant Professor. This award recognizes outstanding performance by an Assistant Professor and aims to promote exceptional teaching early in a faculty memebers career. 

Dr. Magolini was one of four faculty to be recognized for an award. In regards to all awardees, Dean Sharon L. Wood states, "Exemplary educators and leading researchers. They have made outstanding contributions in their fields and they have been recognized by their students as engaging and effective teachers."
