Known as "the Live Music Capitol," Austin was recently rated as the second best big city to live in by Money Magazine and the Best City for Singles by Forbes.com. Austin is the 16th largest city in the US with a population of over 700,000 and the greater Austin Metro area has a population of over 1.4 million. There are 7 colleges and universities in Austin, with UT Austin having the largest student population with about 48,000 students.
