Theory of electron, magnetic, and electro-optic devices. Introduction to the fundamental physics of charge carrier states in semiconductors, charge carrier interactions among themselves and tight the environment, and charge transport in semiconductors and their heterostructures.
Graduate standing and consent of instructor. Electrical Engineering 334K or the equivalent; Electrical Engineering 339 or the equivalent is recommended.
