The Graduate School sets firm deadlines for submission of paperwork the semester you plan to graduate — you should apply to graduate the semester you plan to submit your master’s thesis (if pursuing M.S.E) or the semester you complete your final oral defense (if pursuing Ph.D.). The Graduate School has specific requirements regarding the form of the thesis/dissertation, type of paper, reproduction, items to be included, number of copies, and preparation of an abstract to be submitted to Texas Digital Libraries. It is to your advantage to become familiar with these requirements. Additional information can be obtained directly from the Graduate School in MAI 101 and at their web page. It is your responsibility to have your thesis/dissertation typed and reproduced.
